mcp server
Your AI visibility data, inside Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor
Connect the assistant you already use to your Babel42 AI Buyers. Ask why you lose, which pages it trusted, and rewrite your page from the fixes, in one chat.
you ask your assistant
Read my open Babel42 recommendations for our pricing page and rewrite its first section to fix them.
It reads your open recommendations and the buyer conversations behind them from Babel42, then rewrites the section with you.
what you can ask
What can I ask my assistant?
Anything your Babel42 dashboard can answer, in your own words. Four examples:
“Read my open Babel42 recommendations for our pricing page and rewrite its first section to fix them.”
The use it was built for: the fixes go straight into the page, no copy and paste.
“Which rival won on ChatGPT in my latest run, and what reason did it give?”
The winner per assistant and the decision reason, from your most recent results.
“Show me the full conversation where Gemini picked a competitor. What objection did it raise?”
Every turn of the buyer's conversation, with the searches it ran and the pages it cited.
“Which pages did the assistants cite most often, and how many of them were ours?”
Cited pages and sites across your recent runs, with your own-site share.
what it reads
What data can the assistant see?
The Babel42 MCP server gives your assistant seven read-only tools, one for each part of your AI visibility results.
Brands
Your brands and the competitors you track for each one.
AI Buyers
Each AI Buyer's profile: who they are, what they want, their must-haves and objections, the scorecard they judge on, and the question they open with.
Recommendations
The ranked fixes from your runs, each with what triggered it, what to do and what to watch. Open fixes by default, or all of them with their status.
Latest results
For each AI Buyer's latest run: the winner on each assistant, the reason it gave, which brands appeared and in what position, and the sentiment.
Full conversations
One buyer conversation from start to finish: every turn, the searches the assistant ran and the pages it cited. Long conversations come back a few turns at a time.
Citations
The pages and sites the assistants quoted across your recent runs, and how much of that was your own site.
Run history
When each run happened and whether it finished.
New to the numbers? Every AI visibility metric, defined.
setup
How do I connect it?
First the account owner turns on AI assistant access in Babel42, under Account, then AI assistants. That page shows the server address and the client ID for each assistant, ready to copy. Then, in your assistant:
https://api.babel42.io/mcp
Claude
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose “Add custom connector”. Name it Babel42 and paste the server address.
- Open Advanced settings and paste the Claude client ID from your Babel42 account. Leave the client secret empty.
- Choose Add, then Connect, and sign in with your Babel42 account.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins, choose Add, then “Add custom MCP server”.
- Name it Babel42 and paste the server address as the connection URL.
- Open Advanced OAuth settings and paste the ChatGPT client ID from your Babel42 account. Leave the client secret empty.
- Choose “Create as a plugin”, then sign in with your Babel42 account.
Cursor
- Copy the babel42 entry from your Babel42 account into your Cursor MCP file (~/.cursor/mcp.json), inside “mcpServers”.
- In Cursor Settings, open MCP and choose Connect next to babel42.
- Sign in with your Babel42 account.
Who can use it?
AI assistant access comes with the paid AI Visibility plans: Starter, Growth and Pro. The account owner turns it on once, and then everyone in the account can connect their own assistant. It is not part of the Free plan.
How is it kept safe?
You sign in with your Babel42 account and approve read-only access on a Babel42 consent screen, so the assistant never sees your password. Every request checks that access is still on, that your plan includes it and that you are still in the account. Babel42 logs which tool was called, never what it returned.
MCP server, answered
What is the Babel42 MCP server?
The Babel42 MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor read your Babel42 AI visibility data: your brands, AI Buyers, latest results, full buyer conversations, cited pages, run history and ranked recommendations. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard these assistants use to connect to outside data, so you ask in plain words and the assistant fetches the answer from your account.
Is it read-only?
Yes. The Babel42 MCP server can only read. It cannot start a run, change a brand or an AI Buyer, mark a recommendation as done, or see billing.
Which AI assistants can connect?
Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, each with its own client ID shown in your Babel42 account under Account, then AI assistants. Claude Code is not supported yet.
Do I need an API key?
No. You sign in with your normal Babel42 account, including two-factor or Google sign-in if you use them, and approve read-only access on a Babel42 consent screen. Your password never goes to the assistant.
Which plans include it?
The paid AI Visibility plans: Starter, Growth and Pro. It is not part of the Free plan. The account owner turns it on once, under Account, then AI assistants, and from then on everyone in the account can connect their own assistant.
How do I turn it off?
The account owner switches it off under Account, then AI assistants. Every request checks that switch, so a connected assistant is refused on its next request. Downgrading to Free blocks it the same way.
Where does my data go?
Only to the assistant you connect, and only what it asks for while you use it. What it reads is then handled under that assistant's own terms. Babel42 keeps a log of which tool was called and when, never the content.
Can it write the HTML for my page?
Babel42 does not write pages. Your assistant does: it reads your recommendations and the conversations behind them through the MCP server, then writes or rewrites the page with you, in the same chat.
Start with the data
Run AI Buyers against your category to see where ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity send your buyers. Free to start, no card required. Connect your assistant when you move to a paid plan.
